Lawrence (Lugt 2445); Count Moriz von Fries (Lugt 2903); bought 1864 The drawings were formerly attributed to Perino del Vaga, but Pouncey and Schwager have pointed out, separately, they are by the same hand as the set of 24 Montano designs in the Ashmolean Museum (Parker, Ashmolean Catalogue, pp. 199-203, no. 379-402) and the 300 Montano drawings in Sir John Soane's Museum. There are similar tombs represented in an engraving in G. B. Soria's edition of Montano's designs, in the series entitled Scielta d. varii tempietti antichi, Rome, 1624.
