Place of origin |
The Amsterdam, Admiralty of Amsterdam, was built in 1653, with 50–60 guns, and was taken by the French in 1689. She is probably the subject of two offset drawings by the elder, c.1665, in the Museum Boijmans Van Beuningen, Rotterdam. On the tafferel, the arms of Amsterdam. It is, however, probable that other ships had the arms of Amsterdam on their tafferel.
