Portion of the corner of a carpet woven with a woollen pile on a cotton warp with 36 Turkish knots to the square inch. Wide border with a white ground and a garland of flowers intertwined with pink ribbon. The border has narrow surrounding borders with red formal decoration on a blue ground. Along the two outer edges is a wine coloured border. The central field has an interlacing formal pattern in crimson on a pale red ground.
