This wallpaper was designed specifically for the re-decoration of the foyer of the Tree-Top Hotel in Kenya. The designer, John R. Brown, has explained that the clients wanted something distinctive and appropriate to the setting, so the design was based on Kenyan arts and crafts, and incorporates motifs derived from the Kikuya and Masai tribes such as face masks, stylised antelopes, beadwork and cowry shell patterns.
