Five naked boys grouped round a heap of rocks, from which a spring issues. One kneels, holding a garland of flowers. Two others are engaged in putting a bird in a wicker cage. A fourth is putting grapes into a jar, while a fifth stands holding a bunch in his left hand.

probably 1767-1771; The mark Mô is for Christophe Mô, a sculptor recorded at Sceaux in 1766 and at Mennecy in 1767, or for his brother Jean-Baptiste, recorded at Mennecy in 1768-71/3, who went to Bourg-la-Reine after the Mennecy works was closed (see A. Dawson, French Porcelain: A Catalogue of the British Museum Collection, 1994, cat. 51, and C. Le Corbeiller and L. Roth, French 18th century porcelain at Wadsworth Atheneum, 2000, cat. 45).
