Production
Acquired as Apt, 18th century; relabelled c. 1775; mark identifed as that of Veuve Arnoux (by reference to Chaffers, Marks and Monograms, 1912 edition, where an example of 1802 is cited). Examined by Bernard Bumpus 1997, who considered it Apt, 1797-1802. However, when he illustrated it in 'Le fabrique de la veuve Arnoux à Apt et ses liens avec la societé Fouque-Arnoux' (Sèvres: Revue de la Sociéte des Amis du Musée Nationale de Céramique, No. 6, 1997, fig. 8), he dated it to c. 1805.
