Bought for £3. 9s. from Hyam & Co. Label of the Chavagnac Collection.
Production
According to a note in the register, Tamara Préaud commented in 1976 that there was a similar one at the Musée de Sèvres, but there was no proof for an attribution to Vincennes. Porcelain for Palaces cat 319, where attributed to Vincennes and dated c. 1745-50.
