Production | Acquired as Niderviller, after a model by J. Galy; examined 1931 by Hans Haug, Director of the Strasburg Museum, who suggested the figure was probably made at St. Clément. For another attributed to St. Clément and dated to the 'late 18th century', see Galeries nationales du Grand Palais, Paris, exhibition catalogue, 'Faïences Françaies, XVIe-XVIIIe siècles', 1980, cat. 351. |
