Production | Acquired as German, mid-18th century; reattributed to Lenzburg, Switzerland. Examined by Marie-Therese Torche-Julmy, July 2003, who considered it Luneville (following the researches of Dr Jean Rosen); see Dorothée Guillemé Brulon, Strasbourg & Niderviller - Sources et rayonnement, Histoire de la Faïence Francaise, Paris, 1999, p. 89 for similarly decorated dish with mark 'NP 3' attributed to Luneville and dated c. 1750-60. |
