Physical description

Cream jug with three feet of soft-paste porcelain painted with enamels and gilded. On a vert pomme ground is a panel edged with floral gilt scrollwork and contains a landscape with a stream and fisherman.

Descriptive line

Cream jug of soft-paste porcelain painted with enamels and gilded, Sèvres porcelain factory, Sèvres, decorated in 19th century.

Production Note

Considered perhaps 19th century by William King in 1925. Re-examined in 1960, when the apple green was considered too blue and the landscape unconvincing.
