Object history | The marks '9.' refers to Buteux fils 1763-1801 or '9' to Méreaud le jeune 1756-1780. Originally attributed to in register to Buteux le jeune 1759-1767 but the mark does not correspond. Re-decorated in 19th century. |
Production | Possibly 19th century decoration; Note in register says this piece must have been refired in the 19th C. as there is blackening of the glaze |
