Production
Formerly attributed to Saint-Cloud (but very different in modelling and construction from more certain Saint-Cloud figures). Perhaps made at Orléans. See Object Information File.
Based on a Meissen group modelled by Friedrich Elias Meyer, which dates it after 1748 (Meyer was active at Meissen 1748-61; for a 19th-century reproduction of the companion Meissen figure see C.2561-1910).
