'Admiral' uniform worn by G.H. Elliott in unidentified production, ca.1939. Uniform of pale blue satin, waisted, with triangular shaped front panel from neck, cut across at waist; the panel is outlined in gold braid, on the left are fixed gold buttons stamped with anchors, and the jacket fastens down the right side of the panel with matching buttons. The high turn down collar and deep cuffs are of bright orange satin trimmed with gold braid; at the cuffs are gold buttons stamped with anchors. The skirt is lined in bright orange satin and is caught back at the front to reveal the lining. Fixed across the left shoulder are gold cord ropes with aigrets. Fixed at the cuffs are frills of off white cotton. Lined with off white cotton.
