Wig

ca.1920s (made)
Artist/Maker
Place of origin

Wig made from grey human hair knotted into a cotton gauze cap with a band front. The hair is sparse over the crown of the head to give a balding effect. The band front over the forehead has been stained with stage make-up. It has been repaired over the years with patches of gauze. The drawstrings at the ears of the wig would have kept the wig in place.
