Painter and art historian Janet Davis produced this one-off experimental knitted card specially to commemorate the Millennium and to feature in "Best Wishes", a display of contemporary greetings cards in the Twentieth Century Gallery of the Victoria and Albert Museum. Using new materials such as laser-treated holographic acetate and high-gloss foiled Mirri-card in the fashionable colours of purple, lilac and silver, the artist captured the style of the Millennium celebrations and indulged the taste for glitz of the card's recipient, the curator of the display.
