The profile relief, in cream wax on black glass, of Wilmot is shown facing to the right. He wears a curly wig tied at the base of his neck, and a cloak with an insignia over.

EDINBURGH 1904 / U/CD/ - / This Portrait is unsigned but there can be no hesitation in ascribing it to the masterhand of JAS-Tassie d.1799 / - compare his portrait of LORD MANSFIELD (motto / UNI AEQUUS VIRTUTI) - the handling is identical. PERCY BATE'. (Handwritten label on the back.)
