Further research has suggested that these two decorated panels probably formed part of the decoration of a Kachin n'hpye ( shoulder bag). See 2353 (IS)
Production
1880 Slip Book states that "4? head ornaments were presented in 7/11/[18]77 by Captain Crawford Cooke. 2 brush shaped ornaments in metal tubes* and 2 tassels of embroidered cloth and that they were articles of clothing worn by the Kachyen tribe".
