Physical description

Electrotype copy of a two-handled cup and cover. The original is of silver-gilt, London hallmarks for 1739-40 and the property of the Goldsmiths' Company. The base has a rim of roses and scrolls; on the bowl, partly grained, are grotesque heads in relief with festoons of flowers and shileds of arms. The cover has festoons of flowers and a knop of rams' heads and leaves. The original bears LOndon hallmarks for 1739-40.
