Sir Joseph Lyons gave this paint box to Hannah Gluck when she was a child. Clearly it was more of a novelty than a practical paint box. It was made and retailed by the firm of J. C. Vickery of Regent Street in London. They were a well-known firm of silversmiths and jewellers in the early 20th century.
