Physical description
Hare coursing. A man mounted on a bay pony, with two men on foot and two sighthounds moving towards the left of the image, on open moorland. The man on horseback is holding a long whip and the man walking before him is carrying a long stick in his right hand and has raised his left hand to alert the rest of the group. In the background to the right of the image a small tent, a man on horseback and further figures can be seen. In the bottom-left corner of the foreground, a rabbit or hare is hiding beneath some foliage.
On the verso there is an imprint of lines of text from another sheet, suggesting that this print was removed from a book containing text.
