In this allegorical depiction of Victory, the virtue is personified in the form of a female warrior. Her left arm, which extends to the side, bears a large shield, whilst with her right arm, she holds a collection of military arms. From her back, large wings extend, whilst drapery flows around the floating figure.
Although originally engraved in the period between 1570 and 1615, this particular example is a posthumous impression, having been published in 1628, 13 years after Alberti's death.
