Marks and inscriptions
Marked with a Design Registry mark for 29th February 1848. Its registration is recorded on the adjacent graphic panel. Marked on underside of blade: ‘Manufactured by Joseph Rodgers and Sons, Cutlers to Her Majesty, Sheffield 1865’ and ‘Designed by John Bell and first produced 1847. JOSEPH RODGERS AND SONS, CUTLERS TO HER MAJESTY’.
