This casket was made in the London workshop of William Hutton and Sons Ltd under the direction of Mr Blackman. He was a director of this major, Sheffield-based firm. Kate Harris, the assistant designer, probably assisted him.

Physical description

Silver casket, embossed on tripod feet. The lid set with plaques and mother of pearl, the hinge set with mother of pearl and a semi-precious stone.
