This is a pen, ink, pencil, and wash drawing on paper of the doors and door-case in the Dining -Room (later the Drawing-Room) of Thorpe Hall, Longthorpe, Northamptonshire. Thorpe hall was a mantions built in 1653-1656 during the Commonwealth period by Peter Mills for the Lord Chief Justice Oliver St. John.

Physical description

Pen, ink, pencil, and wash drawing on paper of doors and door-case in the Dining -Room (later the Drawing-Room) of Thorpe Hall, Longthorpe, Northamptonshire. Ornate carving on the sides of the door-case. The pediment consists of a circular design below ornate carving of the top including a small animal sculpture at each side. Inscriptions and a scale are written in pen below the drawing.
