This is a silver gilt medal made by The Munich Medalist, dated 1584. The obverse of this medal represents the bust of Karl Koeckh (about 1524-1592) facing right, bare-headed and bearded, wearing a ruff and double chain. The reverse shows the coat of arms, with helmet, mantling and crest. This medal has beaded borders and a suspension-ring.

Provenance: Tross. 140 medals and reliefs were purchased from M. Henri Tross of Paris for £500 by J.C. Robinson for the Museum in 1867.
