Medal depicts the bust to the left of Ludwig II, bearded, wearing a broad hat, and over a furred mantle the collar of the Golden Fleece. Inscription.
On the reverse bust to left of Mary, wearing a broad velvet cap, and a net over her hair. Inscription.

Provenance: Salting Bequest. George Salting (b. 1836; d. 1909), an Australian who settled in England, bequeathed a large collection of works decorative art to the Museum in 1909.
