This new work by Bohumil Eliáš embodies the techniques for which he is best known - the combination of cut, laminated float glass and highly expressive painting. He has worked separately in glass-making, painting and the graphic arts throughout his career but, since the 1980s he has brought all three together to produce vigorous, highly expressive works which have established him in the forefront of this now well-established Czech art glass type.(05/1998) |
