This is a silver medal made by Georg Holdermann in around 1628. The medal has an obverse only which represents the bust of Andreas Imhoff facing slightly right, bearded, bare-headed, and wearing a ruff and chain.
Holdermann (b. ca. 1585; d. 1629) is documented as a wax-modeller in Nuremberg. He made the wax models for the foundation-medals laid in the Town Hall at Nuremberg in 1616 and 1619. He also provided models for coins.

Provenance: Tross. 140 medals and reliefs were purchased from M. Henri Tross of Paris for £500 by J.C. Robinson for the Museum in 1867.
