Two cattle and a calf, beneath a tree in a coutryside scene. A pale-coloured cow lies by the tree, facing to the left of the image, as the calf stands before her, licking the top of her head. To the right of the image, a dark-coloured cow stands behind them, its head turned slightly towards the viewer. To the left of the image a timber-framed building can be seen and in the far distance a windmill is visible.
