This is a model of a horse mounted on an iron frame and wheels. The horse is of wood painted cream, red, dark brown, grey and black. The mane and tail are of light coloured horse hair; the eyes are of black and brown glass. The horse is wearing a leather saddle and bridle; the saddle is padded, the reins are missing. The frame, three wheels and steering handles are of iron. Pedals and steering rod are attached to the single front wheel.

Given in 1971 by Mrs Walker. The horse belonged to the her son, David, and grandson, Clive [71/2965]

On entry to the Museum it was noted that 'the horse has been well used. The rubber tyres are worn and the paint and gesso of the body is patchy. Right ear is missing.'
