This medal is made after Albrecht Duerer in 1508 in Germany. It depicts a female head, Lucretia, facing three-quarters left, slightly inclined to the left.
Although this ideal female head is dated 1508, and is inscribed with Dürer's monogram, it is more likely to date from the early seventeenth century, during the so-called Dürer Renaissance. It is based on a drawing by Dürer dated 1508.
