Unidentified young man, standing, with camera on tripod, dark cloth and printing frame. Albumen print from wet collodion negative. 78 x 142 mm (stereoscopic) PH 457-1968:58 Literature: Microfilm: 3.19.126 Lady Hawarden's enthusiasm for photography may have brought her to the attention of other amateur photographers in the Oundrum area, of whom this young man may be one. His camera appears to be a single-lens bellows type. (Lady Hawarden's single-lens box-type camera is shown in Ph 457-1968:335, Ph 457-1968:524 and Ph 296-1947 (D.303,D.304 and D.559). A dark slide or negative holder is leaned against the tripod, and the object against a wall in the left background may be a printing frame. Given by Lady Clementina Tottenham, granddaughter of the photographer.' |
