The bowl is one of a pair and box one of a set of four; they were probably part of a toilet service. These were often composed of pieces by a more than one maker.

Silver-gilt porringer with cover, chased and engraved with rocaille decoration, two scroll handles. The cover has three jutting scrolls. From a toilet service.
