Earthenware jug with olive green lead glaze. Squat, broad body, rounded beneath and supported on three small feet; concave sided neck has a profile moulding at the lip and a rudimentary pouring spout. Coiled handle, with tails in relief running upwards from the lower junction with body to join a ring in relief round the base of the neck. Vertical applied ribs on the body, and small cross-hatched medallions stamped partly into the body, partly into applied pads of clay. The clay is grey, but reddened on the interior surface
