Place of origin

Red earthenware covered with white slip except for base. Concave base is thumbed heavily all the way round and appears to have been done upside down whilst slightly rotating on the wheel. Speckled green bib glaze with combed incised decoration underneath. Large hole in one side. Small pinched spout. Turned on wheel. Applied wide flat strap with two thumb marks at top (unsure if thumbs or fingers).

Historical context
A very similar jug is in the Museum of London collections. It was found in the Monories, Aldgate and is attributed as Mill Green ware.
