Place of origin

This detail from the front of a woman's jacket features braid that has been applied across the bodice. Bands have been cut to the correct length and their ends folded to form a point, like an envelope, to prevent fraying; the point has then been turned under and stitched in place. Three flower heads made from different types of wire have been attached to each band; two have been decorated with a large coral bead, and a long, intricate wire tassel hangs from the outermost flower head.
