This photograph comes from Zed Nelson’s project ‘Gun Nation’, which explores the American fascination with gun culture. The project has been widely exhibited and published in book form, and is credited as an influence on Michael Moore’s 2002 documentary film Bowling for Columbine. This image, a close-up of ammunition in a Las Vegas shop, works as a diptych with Museum no. E.2048-2004, a photograph of a young girl in her father’s gun store.
