This photograph comes from Zed Nelson’s project ‘Gun Nation’, which explores the American fascination with gun culture. The project has been widely exhibited and published in book form, and is credited as an influence on Michael Moore’s 2002 documentary film Bowling for Columbine. This image, showing a girl in her father’s gun store, works as a diptych with museum no. E.2049-2004, a close-up of ammunition in a Las Vegas shop.
