Plain outer rim soldered to base which is embossed with gadroons against matted ground. Hexagonal body raised in one piece and embossed and chased with grotesque masks and painted C-scrolls. The flat sections are engraved with exotic birds alternating with clusters of fruits and vegetables. The handle and thumb-piece are cast. The lid is raised, embossed and chased with decoration which is parallel to that on the body.

Physical description
