Historical context | BEAKERS AND TANKARDS These beakers and tankards show how gradual changes in taste developed in South German silver from about 1690 to 1750. The fine engraving and fine embossed floral ornament of the late Baroque are eventually superseded by the more abstract flat chased work of the Régence style.
