Object history
From the tracery lights of the west window of St Michael's Church, Berechurch, Colchester, Essex.
(RP: MA/1/B1177) Letter dated 7 May 1983 referring to V&A taking 8 small pieces of early 19th century glass removed from Audley Chapel, Berechurch, Colchester.
Seems the glass was in the few tracery lights of the West window. The gift consisted of eight small pieces of glass of the early 19th century, painted with butterflies, flowers, coat of arms and conventional ornament.
