The nose is wooden and the facial features are painted The moveable arms are attached by a metal rod. Attached to the right hand is a string with a pearl at the end which swings to strike a metal bell mounted on a circular, yellow and blue painted block. The whole is mounted on a wooden platform painted green with one red pulling cord attached at the front. There is a hole between the clown's feet which suggests that the metal axle should be attached to a metal rod supporting the arms so that the bell rings as the wheels turn.
