Tatham (in ink) and Henry Holland (in pencil) Pen and ink and water-colour Mean size 7 x 3 ½ (177 x 89) D.1499-1898 PROVENANCE C.H. Tatham; Henry Holland; Sir J. Soane (in the album described in no. 1050 below) Tatham’s notes on the drawings show that all three candelabra were 18 in. high. The price of no. 930 was £20 (Holland ordered two pairs); of no. 931 £10 (Holland ordered three pairs); of no. 932 £12 (Holland ordered one pair). Tatham refers to these designs in a letter to Holland dated 15 February 1795 and states that the artist himself had given them to him. In his reply, dated 19 May, Holland asked Tatham to order as stated. Nos. 931 and 932 not illustrated
