  • Teapot with reliefs depicting 'Domestic Employment' made at the factory of Josiah Wedgwood, Etruria, Staffordshire, about 1785-1790 Mark: 'WEDGWOOD' impressed Jasperware with applied reliefs C57&A-1911 The design of the relief decoration is generally attributed to Lady Templetown (1747-1823), an amateur artist, who supplied Wedgwood with 14 sentimental, morally didactic and uplifting subjects.(23/05/2008)
