This is a drawing of the ground plan of Marcham Church, also known as the Church of All Saints, located in the county of Oxfordshire. The church was first built ca. 13th century but with several restorations in subsequent centuries, its current state is in the Perpendicular Style. The anonymous English print was likely drawn during a restoration phase ca. 1830-ca.1840.

Physical description

Pen, ink and watercolour drawing of the ground plan of Marcham Church. Drawing includes the plans and label indications of a tower, porch with stairs, southern porch, vestry, main body of the church with pews and aisles, vicar, pulpit and chapel. Notes indicate the number of people that can sit in the variety of different size pews. The tower is painted in a grey wash, the exterior walls are painted a rose, and the benches are light brown. An inscription and scale are included below the plan.
