Teddy Bear
1970-1979 (manufactured)
Artist/Maker
Place of origin

The Cheeky bear was first introduced by Merrythought in 1957 and was so called because of its large cheeky grin. The bear's other major characteristics are its large head and floppy ears that contain bells. The line proved so popular that several different versions and sizes were made including the Twisty Cheeky family. Cheeky bears continue to be made today, usually as replicas of early designs, and are very popular with bear collectors.
