Hand coloured paper mounted on a linen sheet and folded four times by four into a book cover of light brown bound and embossed linen. The title of the game and surrounding decoration is done in gold on the front cover. The game comprises a helix shape of playing circles each representing an historical event in English history. The starting point is the Battle of Hastings and and the game finishes with the accession of Queen Victoria to the throne. At the top of the sheet is a depiction of the royal coat of arms and in each of the four corners is a scene from a famous battle - Trafalgar, Navarino, Waterloo and Seringapatam.
