This riding habit shirt is from an important collection of riding outfits and accessories previously in Castle Howard, Yorkshire. The collection also includes a blue woollen jacket, an apron skirt, breeches, a black bowler riding hat, boots, cravats, gloves and various accessories. These are all typical items a fashionable woman would have worn in the 1920s for riding.

Yellow collarless shirt with front placket fastened with four mother-of-pearl buttons, Great Britain, 1910-20
Physical description
Yellow collarless shirt with front placket fastened with four mother-of-pearl buttons. The collar and cuffs have holes for studs and cufflinks. There are six vertical tucks running from shoulder to hem on the front of the shirt, and two on the back.
