In the centre at the top, God the Father, with a globe in his left hand, is seated on a throne of clouds; below, the Dove (i.e. Holy Ghost), crowned with a garland by two cherubs; at the bottom, the Virgin, with the Child in her arms, standing in a niche with a pediment supported by pilasters, flanked on each side by an angel swinging a censer. The scene is surrounded by numerous cherubs, some of whom are bearing festoons.
