Brief description
Gilded limewood angel, probably from an altarpiece, Austrian, ca. 1710-20
Physical description
The angel floats upward, his right leg bent the left stretched back. His left arm brought across his body, his right held downwards as though both hands were supporting or displaying some object. The head looks downwards.

This with the accompanying angel (A.5-1948) must presumably have come from either side of a group or an altarpiece.
